Every third Friday of the month beginning in February and running until September, Live and Local music series will have a beat for everyone!

Pompano Beach Arts is excited to expand the South Florida musical landscape by providing a stage for the area’s best musicians in all genres, including rock & roll, hip-hop, grunge, reggae, blues, classic pop, alternative and more. The Ali’s awesome outdoor space provides a cool vibe to soak up the latest sounds while sipping adult beverages and sampling the latest culinary treats from local food vendors.

June 16th 2023 - Kirk Green

Kirk Green is a Grammy nominated bassist and composer, award winning filmmaker. Adept at many styles of music, Kirk has worked with many local and international musicians such as the late legendary jazz trumpeter Melton Mustafa, the late saxophonist Grover Washington, bassist Victor Wooten, and countless others. He has toured with recording artist Joss Stone, and was the musical director for Lauryn Hill. He has performed with the likes of Kelly Roland, Frank Romano of Matchbox 20, Damion and Kymani Marley, Lionel Richie, and many others. As an acclaimed producer, Kirk has worked on and produced over 20 albums and was nominated for a Grammy for work done on the hit single on the double platinum album by Ricky Martin called "The Best Thing About Me Is You".

Kirk is also produced a short film documentary called "Condo Commandos" which was selected to be a part of the Cannes Film Festival and subsequently was the winner of the 2010 Fort Lauderdale Film Festival. Currently he is working on film projects including Ozark on Netflix, American Soul, a BET production, and HBO series Love Craft Country produces by Jordan Peele.

July 21st 2023 - LaVie

From her vivacious stage performances to her infectiously rapturous personality, LaVie is a shining example of living life to the fullest! With such a becoming name, “La Vie,” which in French means “the life,” she uses her music through jazz, soul and R&B as a vehicle to encourage and empower all people to seek out and experience “the life” that God intends for all to have!

She was raised by her Haitian immigrant parents along with her brother and two sisters. LaVie discovered her love for music at a young age, to which she recalls, “My sister Sandrine and I use to watch Whitney Houston videos on VHS and sing into my mother’s hair brushes”. Now she herself is a proud parent of a teenage daughter and identical twin boys, who also have a great love for music.

In 2009, LaVie, released her first album titled “Life Music”, filled with Inspirational/Soul music. The release party was filled with friends, family and supporters from the Dade, Broward and Palm Beach areas. Since the release of her debut album, she has continued creating music, releasing her single "Alive", which has become an instant fan favorite, touching the hearts of every listener since 2014 and even now.

LaVie released “Human”, featuring Recording Artist Giel and Singer/Songwriter Kristine Alicia in 2015. Taking her music across the nation in 2015 on The Maestro East Coast Tour, LaVie toured 10 major cities including New York City, Boston, D.C., Chicago, Detroit, and Pittsburgh. Opening for son of Bob Marley, KyMani Marley, LaVie performed for thousands of enthusiastic fans. Channeling her Caribbean heritage, LaVie released her newest single "Queen" in July 2016

August 18th 2023 - James Danson

When the thought of premier musicians come to mind, James Danson has found himself apart of the conversation. James who is also known as “Sticx” has flourished into a musical genius. Born and raised in Belle Glade, Florida, and then relocated to Pompano Beach Florida, his musical influences from the countryside to the city has nurtured his musical styles. Being in all genres from Country, Jazz, Gospel, R&B, Hip-hop, Rock and many more. He performs and produces music (on multiple instruments) for artists in the industry that make the music scene what it is today. Embracing his stage name, James “sticx” Danson his goal while performing or producing music is that it must feel good. The saying “Sticx Feel Good Music” is more than a movement, it’s a purpose.
