Claudette Goico Šernius

Claudette Goico Šernius is a Dominican artist based in South Florida, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in Art History from Florida International University. Her studies deepened her understanding of art’s cultural impact and its ability to amplify unheard voices. Through painting, sculpture, and community engagement, her work aims to empower, educate, and foster meaningful connections within the community. Her recent work, Unfinished Stories, focuses on raising awareness about human trafficking, using visual storytelling to spark dialogue and inspire change.

Claudette is an award-winning artist and two-time recipient of the Broward County Artist Support Grant, her work has been featured in Panku Magazine and exhibited at the Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery, Sunrise Civic Center, the Wolfsonian Museum, and Laundromat Art Space. She is currently an artist-in-residence at Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA).
