Joanne Pilar Corry

Joanne Pilar Corry, born in New York and raised in Florida, draws profound inspiration from her early exposure to New York galleries and museums. She pursued painting at Hampshire College and California College of the Arts, where she honed her distinctive style as an acrylic painter.

Known for her bold use of use of unusual color combinations and textured mark-making, Corry’s work navigates themes of nature, human impact and complexities of the human experience. Her career took a significant turn in 2007 with the selection of four drawings for the “Undertow” exhibition in Istanbul and has continued to work and exhibit since then. Recently her work has been exhibited locally at the Coral Springs Museum of Art, Studio 18 and Hollywood Art and Culture Center and Gasper Arts Center. Joanne Corry currrently resides in Hollywood, Florida with her husband and rabbit.
