Brévo Theatre’s Freshly Rooted – New Works Series proudly features playwright Bryan Keyth Wilson for the 2026 season.

Known for his bold, unapologetic voice and commitment to expanding Black theatrical narratives, Wilson brings a powerful lineup of work to South Florida, including fully staged productions and new play readings.

This season includes two productions:

  • LUV NO LIMIT (February 5 - 15)
As a part of our Freshly Rooted series, LUV NO LIMIT / a luvrz ballad is the second installment in the award-winning FOR COLORED BOYZ choreopoem series—a raw, sensual exploration of love, loss, and identity. Set in Houston, Texas, the work follows Antwan, a Black artist and activist grieving the death of Tyre Nichols, and Ramón, a Houston police detective hiding his badge behind tenderness and desire. As their chance meeting deepens into love, secrets surface and trust fractures.
  • Staged Readings directed by Brittany King (February 11)

Brévo Theatre presents a powerful series of staged readings by award-winning playwright Bryan Keyth Wilson, spotlighting urgent stories that interrogate race, power, memory, and survival in America. Featuring The Otha Amerikkka, 8:46, and FAFO, this reading series offers audiences an intimate first look at works in development that confront systemic injustice, generational trauma, and the lived realities of Black communities.
