Upcoming Schedule of Performances:

  • April 18th - Alex Dean

Born and raised in Miami, Dean was already an accomplished saxophonist by the time he enrolled at Tuskegee Institute (on a Music scholarship), becoming the first freshman allowed to perform with the schools traveling Jazz Ensemble. However, after his first year of college he decided that he wanted to continue his education a little closer to home and transferred to Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida. Once there he joined a cover band that included the younger brothers of American soul and disco singer George McCrae, performing in nightclubs and concerts throughout central Florida. During those years of performing and traveling, Dean began developing his vocal chops singing both background and lead vocals along with his duties on alto and soprano sax.
