Annie Adderly Park

The Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board, which is made up of the city commission, unanimously approved a contract with MBR Construction to make improvements at Annie Adderly Gillis Park on Martin Luther King Boulevard updating this passive park into an active urban plaza. The project is expected to take seven to eight months to complete.

The project is expected to include the following:

  • Provide adequate lighting to make the Urban Park safe.
  • Allocate a special event area for performances, movie screen and events
  • The landscape of the urban plaza will be open and spacious to allow events and food trucks to activate in the area.
  • Sculptural interactive play and exercise equipment can be placed at the perimeter, integrating into the landscape design.
